IS IT OVER?

Preliminary news seems to indicate that our global 2 year  long COVID ordeal of lockdowns, masks and vaxx mandates might be over. 

Sweden and Switzerland joined Denmark, Norway, Finland, Ireland, The Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, France and the UK in announcing they will lift COVID restrictions and open up their countries.      -Countries dropping COVID restrictions 2-4-22

If, indeed, the nightmare is over, and if the US gets on board with these nations and their COVID management conclusions, rational people will ask —   why did we sustain such painful efforts for two years, and why are we now so quickly abandoning them?

What Does This Mean?

Are we fools to abandon these oppressive controls?
Will this trigger a global health catastrophe that wipes out half the human race?
               OR
Were the opponents of these mandates right all along?
Will history show us that our leaders and our institutions were at best incompetent, and at worst nefarious and malicious?

Sorting Out the Answers 

We will each have to sort these options out for ourselves.  
We will not try to argue all the points here comprehensively.

Relevant Points to Consider

We will make several major relevant points:

• During the past two years, it has primarily been the right that has argued for more freedom and less government, and the left that has argued for more mandates and controls. 
• Now, a number of previously left-leaning leaders and media moguls have started shifting their positions (see below).
• Moreover, the nations/states which have mandated the least masks, vaccines and shutdowns, seem to be doing the best in preventing COVID illness and death.

Joe Rogan is an American Commentator who did an outstanding interview with Dr. Robert Malone, clarifying all the confusion that has gone on during the past 2 years.  Other than some brief profanity used by Joe Rogan when he found out the extent of the malfeasance that has become apparent in our government, this is an outstanding interview that everyone who wants to know why COVID restrictions should be lifted should watch.
